Ayurvedic Toothpaste (Review)

img_1280I recently purchased this Ayurvedic toothpaste as I have been wanting to switch to a natural toothpaste for quite a while. The brand is called “Auromere” and they have different flavours but the one I got is cardamom and fennel, as you may already know I love the taste of fennel! It’s made from all natural ingredients including “neem” which is a herb quite commonly used to treat ailments in Ayurveda and is great in toothpaste as it is antibacterial. The toothpaste is also fluoride-free, gluten-free, cruelty-free, paraben-free, vegan, free from artificial sweeteners and there are some flavours (including the cardamom-fennel flavour I purchased) that are sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS) free.

As the toothpaste is made from quite a few herbal ingredients, it took me some getting used to as I more familiar with the taste and texture of regular toothpastes such as Sensodyne or Crest. But after using it for a couple of weeks now, I find the taste and texture a lot more pleasant. Auromere also cleans the teeth very well and doesn’t have a strong aftertaste after brushing which is nice. It also doesn’t foam up in the mouth and taste soapy as I have heard some other herbal toothpastes do. The price is also reasonable and comparable to regular toothpastes. I purchased this for around $5 from my local health store, it also available to purchase online from Amazon and other sites. I would definitely purchase this again!
